Strike in the construction product industry to start on Thursday 19 April while negotiations continue

The labour dispute between the Finnish Construction Trade Union and the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries (CFCI) was mediated on Wednesday 18 April 2018.

National Conciliator Minna Helle says that it will not be possible to settle the labour dispute before the industrial action in the construction product industry starts on Thursday 19 April. The parties will, however, continue the negotiations on Thursday.

While the industrial action that will start on 19 April affects the construction product industry only, the dispute in fact concerns the collective agreement for the construction sector.

The Finnish Construction Trade Union branches have announced other, shorter work stoppages that will affect even other sectors covered by the collective agreement for the construction sector.
